Specialist ophthalmologists provided free diagnostic screenings, prescribed spectacles, and conducted sutureless cataract surgeries for marginalized seniors.
Preventable blindness continues to affect thousands of elderly individuals living in poverty who cannot afford specialized medical care.
During our three-day intensive health camp, over 800 patients received comprehensive consultations, 400 received prescription eyeglasses, and 215 elderly patients underwent free micro-surgical cataract replacements with full post-operative recovery support.
