Privacy & Donor Protection Policy

Sunbulah Welfare Association (SWA) operates as a registered, non-profit, non-political Islamic humanitarian NGO in Bangladesh. We recognize that all personal, financial, and beneficiary data entrusted to us is a moral and religious Amanah (sacred trust).

To process charitable donations, issue tax-exempt receipts, and execute Islamic charity programs faithfully, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Donor Identity & Contact Details: Full name, email address, mobile number, mailing address, and country of residence.
• Donation Classification Data: Designated intent (Zakat, Sadaqah, Orphan Sponsorship, Masjid Construction, Tubewell, Qurbani, Emergency Relief, or General Welfare).
• Transaction & Auditing Metadata: Payment gateway confirmation IDs, bank deposit reference slips, currency type, and donation timestamps. (We NEVER store credit card numbers or CVVs).

Sunbulah Welfare Association is authorized to receive foreign donations under the Foreign Donations (Voluntary Activities) Regulation Act of Bangladesh through scheduled banking channels approved by the Central Bank (Bangladesh Bank) and NGOAB.

We use collected donor information exclusively for authorized humanitarian and operational purposes:

• Issuing instant electronic receipts and annual tax statements.
• Delivering project progress reports, photo documentation (e.g. tubewell plaques or orphan welfare updates), and audited annual reports.
• Notifying donors regarding emergency relief campaigns (e.g. Flood relief, Ramadan Food Baskets, Qurbani drives) where opted-in.

SWA operates under strict Islamic jurisprudence guidelines. When a donor indicates their contribution as Zakat, Fitrah, or Kaffarah, our accounting system tags the fund into a 100% segregated Zakat ledger.

Sunbulah Welfare Association enforces a strict zero-tolerance Child Protection Policy and Beneficiary Dignity Framework:

• No Exact Geographic Locations: We never publicly disclose personal contact numbers, residential addresses, or precise locations of vulnerable orphans or distressed women.
• Ethical Photography with Dignity: Media documentation of relief distributions is conducted respectfully without compromising the modesty, honor, and self-respect of the recipient.

All online donation transactions on the SWA website are secured using Industry-Standard 256-Bit SSL/TLS Encryption. Online transactions are processed by certified, PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways (such as SSLCommerz, Visa, MasterCard, bKash, Nagad, and International Merchant accounts).

SWA never sells, trades, rents, or commercializes donor contact lists to any third-party marketing agency under any circumstances.

As a donor or supporter of Sunbulah Welfare Association, you maintain full control over your personal data:

• Right to Anonymous Charity (Sirr Sadaqah): You may choose to remain completely anonymous on public donor rolls and project plaques upon request.
