Winter Blanket Distribution Project OVERVIEW Ongoing

Winter Blanket Distribution Project

A blanket is more than warmth—it is a gesture of compassion, dignity, and care for those in need.

Winter can be a particularly difficult season for poor and vulnerable families in Bangladesh. For people living in inadequate homes or without sufficient warm clothing and bedding, cold temperatures can pose serious challenges, especially for children, elderly people, and those living in extreme poverty. Recognizing this seasonal hardship, Sunbulah Welfare Association (SWA), Bangladesh, implements the Winter Blanket Distribution Project to provide warm blankets to needy and disadvantaged people during the winter season. Through this initiative, SWA identifies vulnerable individuals and families who are unable to afford adequate winter protection and distributes blankets to help them stay warm and comfortable during cold nights. The assistance is particularly valuable for families living in rural and underserved communities where access to sufficient winter essentials may be limited. A warm blanket may seem like a simple form of assistance, but for a family struggling with poverty, it can provide essential protection from the cold and bring comfort, security, and peace of mind. The project aims to ensure that vulnerable people do not have to face the harsh winter season without adequate warmth. Special consideration is given to those who are particularly vulnerable to cold weather, including elderly people, children, widows, persons with disabilities, and extremely poor households. By reaching those who need support most, SWA seeks to provide timely and meaningful seasonal relief. The Winter Blanket Distribution Project also reflects SWA’s commitment to humanitarian service and community solidarity. With the generous support of donors and well-wishers, the initiative transforms compassion into practical assistance, helping vulnerable families face winter with greater dignity and comfort. Through this project, SWA strives to bring warmth to homes, comfort to families, and hope to communities during the coldest months of the year.

Qurbani Project OVERVIEW Ongoing

Qurbani Project

A sacrifice shared becomes a blessing multiplied.

Qurbani is a cherished Islamic tradition that embodies the values of sacrifice, devotion, generosity, and compassion. It is also an opportunity to share the blessings of Eid-ul-Adha with families and communities who may rarely have access to meat. Recognizing the importance of sharing and caring for those in need, Sunbulah Welfare Association (SWA), Bangladesh, implements the Qurbani Project to provide Qurbani animals and distribute their meat among poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged families across different communities in Bangladesh. Through the generous contributions of donors and well-wishers, SWA arranges Qurbani animals and facilitates the distribution of meat to families who face financial hardship and are unable to afford meat regularly. The initiative enables beneficiaries to enjoy nutritious food and participate in the happiness and blessings of Eid-ul-Adha with greater dignity. The project gives particular importance to reaching low-income families, vulnerable households, and communities where food insecurity is a significant challenge. By distributing Qurbani meat directly to those in need, SWA helps ensure that the spirit of sacrifice and generosity reaches people from all walks of life. Beyond food assistance, the Qurbani Project strengthens community solidarity, compassion, and social inclusion. It creates a meaningful connection between donors and beneficiary families, allowing the blessings of Qurbani to be shared with people who need support the most. SWA is committed to implementing the project responsibly and ensuring that Qurbani animals and meat reach deserving beneficiaries in an organized and respectful manner. Every contribution helps transform the sacred act of sacrifice into tangible support for families experiencing hardship. The Qurbani Project is more than the distribution of meat—it is about sharing blessings, nourishing families, strengthening communities, and spreading the spirit of compassion and generosity during Eid-ul-Adha.

Seasonal Ramadan Project OVERVIEW Ongoing

Seasonal Ramadan Project

Sharing food, spreading compassion, and bringing hope—one Ramadan family at a time.

The holy month of Ramadan is a time of fasting, prayer, compassion, generosity, and sharing. For vulnerable families living in poverty, however, the increased cost of food and the challenges of securing nutritious meals can make this sacred month particularly difficult. Recognizing their needs, Sunbulah Welfare Association (SWA), Bangladesh, implements the Seasonal Ramadan Project to extend meaningful assistance to disadvantaged families and communities during Ramadan. Through this initiative, SWA distributes essential food items, Iftar packages, and other Ramadan-related assistance to people who face financial hardship and food insecurity. The project aims to ensure that vulnerable families can observe Ramadan with greater dignity and have access to essential food supplies throughout the holy month. The food assistance is designed to help families prepare daily meals and Iftar, reducing the financial pressure of purchasing essential food commodities. Special attention is given to disadvantaged households and communities where families may struggle to meet their basic nutritional needs. The project also reflects the spirit of generosity, solidarity, and community care that lies at the heart of Ramadan. By sharing food and essential supplies, SWA seeks to bring relief and happiness to families who might otherwise experience hardship during this special time of year. Beyond providing immediate food assistance, the Ramadan Project strengthens the bonds between communities and encourages a culture of compassion and mutual support. It gives donors and well-wishers an opportunity to share the blessings of Ramadan with families who need assistance the most. With the generous support of donors and well-wishers, SWA continues to reach vulnerable communities across Bangladesh, helping families experience the holy month with greater food security, dignity, hope, and peace of mind. The Seasonal Ramadan Project is more than a food distribution initiative—it is an expression of compassion and solidarity, bringing the blessings of Ramadan to families in need. Domestic Animal Distribution OVERVIEW Ongoing

Domestic Animal Distribution

Beginning of a family's journey toward a more secure and independent future.

For many low-income families in rural Bangladesh, limited employment opportunities and lack of productive assets make it difficult to establish a stable and sustainable source of income. Families often depend on irregular work and remain vulnerable to poverty, food insecurity, and unexpected financial challenges. Recognizing the importance of sustainable livelihoods and self-reliance, Sunbulah Welfare Association (SWA), Bangladesh, implements the Domestic Animal Distribution Project to support disadvantaged families through the provision of productive livestock such as cows and goats. Under this initiative, carefully selected families receive domestic animals that can become a valuable household asset and a source of ongoing livelihood. Beneficiaries can raise the animals, benefit from products such as milk, and generate income through the sale of livestock or other related products. As the livestock population grows, families may also be able to expand their small-scale farming activities and strengthen their economic position. The project provides benefits beyond immediate financial assistance. Livestock can contribute to household nutrition, food security, income generation, and financial resilience. For families with limited resources, a cow or a small number of goats can become the starting point for a modest but sustainable livelihood. The initiative also encourages beneficiaries to develop greater responsibility and confidence in managing productive assets. With proper care and management, the animals can continue to provide benefits to the household over an extended period, making the support more sustainable than short-term assistance. Through the generosity of donors and well-wishers, SWA seeks to help vulnerable families move from dependence toward self-reliance and economic independence. By providing livestock as productive assets, the project creates opportunities for families to improve their living conditions, support their children's education, meet essential household needs, and build a more secure future. The Domestic Animal Distribution Project is therefore not simply about giving livestock—it is about creating livelihoods, strengthening families, promoting self-reliance, and turning a small asset into a lasting source of hope and opportunity. A cow or a goat can be more than an animal—it can be the beginning of a family's journey toward a more secure and independent future.

Eye Glass Distribution Project OVERVIEW Ongoing

Eye Glass Distribution Project

A clearer vision can open the door to a brighter future.

Clear vision is essential for learning, working, earning a livelihood, and living an independent and fulfilling life. However, many people in disadvantaged communities struggle with poor eyesight and cannot afford suitable eyeglasses. For low-income families, the cost of vision correction can become an additional burden, often leaving people to cope with blurred vision in their daily lives. Recognizing the importance of healthy vision and equal access to essential eye care, Sunbulah Welfare Association (SWA), Bangladesh, implements the Eye Glass Distribution Project to support people who need vision correction but have limited financial resources. Through this initiative, SWA provides eyeglasses to deserving individuals in communities where access to affordable vision support is limited. The project aims to help beneficiaries improve their everyday vision so they can read, study, work, move around safely, and participate more confidently in family and community life. For students, appropriate eyeglasses can make it easier to read books, follow lessons, and continue their education. For adults and elderly people, improved vision can support daily household activities, work, mobility, and greater independence. The project is particularly meaningful for people whose financial circumstances prevent them from purchasing eyeglasses themselves. By providing this simple but essential form of assistance, SWA seeks to reduce the impact of poor vision and help people overcome a barrier that can affect education, employment, and quality of life. The Eye Glass Distribution Project reflects SWA’s commitment to serving vulnerable communities with practical support that can make a lasting difference. A pair of eyeglasses may seem like a small contribution, but for someone struggling with poor vision, it can bring clarity, confidence, opportunity, and a renewed connection with the world around them.

Wheelchair Distribution Project OVERVIEW Ongoing

Wheelchair Distribution Project

Every wheelchair provides more than mobility—it provides freedom, dignity, opportunity, and hope.

For people living with physical disabilities, limited mobility can create significant barriers to education, employment, healthcare, social participation, and everyday life. For many disadvantaged individuals in Bangladesh, the lack of a suitable wheelchair can make even simple daily activities difficult and can increase their dependence on family members or caregivers. Recognizing the importance of mobility, dignity, and independence, Sunbulah Welfare Association (SWA), Bangladesh, implements the Wheelchair Distribution Project to provide mobility support to people with disabilities who are unable to afford a wheelchair of their own. Through this initiative, SWA identifies and supports people with disabilities in different communities who are in genuine need of mobility assistance. By providing an appropriate wheelchair, the project helps beneficiaries move more safely and comfortably within their homes and communities and participate more actively in everyday activities. A wheelchair is more than a mobility device—it can open the door to greater independence, confidence, and social inclusion. Improved mobility can make it easier for beneficiaries to access healthcare services, educational opportunities, community activities, and other essential services. The project also provides meaningful support to families and caregivers by helping reduce the physical and emotional burden associated with assisting a person with limited mobility. Most importantly, it helps beneficiaries experience greater freedom and dignity in their daily lives. SWA believes that disability should never prevent a person from living with dignity or participating in society. Through the generosity of donors and well-wishers, the Wheelchair Distribution Project seeks to create opportunities for people with disabilities to move forward with greater confidence and independence. Every wheelchair provides more than mobility—it provides freedom, dignity, opportunity, and hope.

Small Poultry Farm OVERVIEW Ongoing

Small Poultry Farm

Every small farm can become a foundation for a brighter future.

For many vulnerable families in rural Bangladesh, securing a stable income and providing nutritious food for their households remains a daily challenge. Limited employment opportunities and financial resources often leave families struggling to meet their basic needs and build a secure future. Recognizing the importance of sustainable livelihoods and household food security, Sunbulah Welfare Association (SWA), Bangladesh, has introduced the “Feathers of Prosperity” initiative, with generous financial support from donors in the United Arab Emirates. Through this project, SWA provides disadvantaged families with the resources and knowledge needed to establish small-scale poultry farms. Selected beneficiary families receive chicks, poultry feed, and basic training in poultry care and farm management. This initial support enables families to start their own small poultry operations and gradually develop them into a sustainable source of food and income. The project provides families with the opportunity to produce eggs and poultry meat for their own consumption, helping improve household nutrition and food security. At the same time, surplus eggs, poultry, and other products can be sold in local markets, creating an additional source of income for the family. Beyond immediate financial support, the project encourages self-reliance, entrepreneurship, and responsible household income generation. As families gain experience in poultry farming, they can expand their operations, increase production, and strengthen their economic resilience. The benefits extend across the entire household. Increased income can help families meet essential expenses such as food, children's education, healthcare, and other daily necessities, while access to poultry products contributes to a more balanced and nutritious diet. Through the Feathers of Prosperity initiative, SWA is helping vulnerable families turn a small opportunity into a sustainable livelihood. With the generous support of UAE donors and well-wishers, these modest poultry farms are becoming sources of food, income, independence, and hope, contributing to stronger and more resilient rural communities. From a few chicks to a sustainable livelihood, every small farm can become a foundation for a brighter future.

Sewing Machine Distribution & Women’s Empowerment Project OVERVIEW Ongoing

Sewing Machine Distribution & Women’s Empowerment Project

It's a tool for independence, a source of income, and a stitch of hope for a brighter future.

Sewing Machine Distribution & Women’s Empowerment Project For many widows, single mothers, and economically disadvantaged women in rural Bangladesh, earning a stable income can be a significant challenge. Despite possessing valuable skills such as sewing and tailoring, many lack the equipment and financial resources needed to turn those skills into a sustainable source of livelihood. As a result, they often depend on irregular work and struggle to meet the basic needs of their families. Recognizing the importance of self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods, Sunbulah Welfare Association (SWA), Bangladesh, has introduced the “A Stitch of Hope” / “Feathers of Prosperity” initiative, with generous financial support from donors in the United Arab Emirates. Through this initiative, SWA distributes sewing machines to deserving women, enabling them to transform their existing skills into income-generating opportunities. With access to a sewing machine, beneficiaries can establish small tailoring businesses from their own homes or within their communities. They can produce garments, school uniforms, household items, and provide clothing repair and tailoring services according to local demand. This allows women to earn an income while maintaining flexibility to manage their household responsibilities. The impact extends beyond the individual beneficiary. The income generated through tailoring can help families afford food, children's education, healthcare, clothing, and other essential household needs. In many cases, a single sewing machine can become the foundation of a sustainable livelihood and a pathway toward greater financial independence. The project also promotes confidence, dignity, entrepreneurship, and economic participation among women. Rather than providing short-term assistance alone, SWA seeks to equip women with a productive asset that can continue generating income over the long term. Through the generosity of UAE donors and well-wishers, the Sewing Machine Distribution Project is helping women turn their skills into opportunities, opportunities into livelihoods, and livelihoods into better futures for their families. A sewing machine is more than a machine—it is a tool for independence, a source of income, and a stitch of hope for a brighter future.

Light of the Quran Project OVERVIEW Ongoing

Light of the Quran Project

Quran for Every Student – Light, Knowledge & Guidance

Imagine a classroom where every student has their own copy of the Holy Quran—a book they can read, recite, study, and memorize as part of their daily learning. For many students in madrasahs across Bangladesh, having a personal copy of the Quran was once a challenge due to financial limitations and a shortage of educational resources. To help address this need, Sunbulah Welfare Association (SWA), Bangladesh, introduced the “Light of the Quran” Project, with generous financial support from donors in the United Arab Emirates. The initiative aims to place the Holy Quran in the hands of students who need it most, particularly those studying in underserved madrasahs. Through this project, thousands of students have received their own copies of the Quran, enabling them to engage more consistently in Quranic reading, recitation, and memorization. Having a personal Quran allows students to study at their own pace, practice their lessons regularly, and develop a stronger connection with Islamic teachings. Each Quran distributed through this initiative represents far more than a book. It is a source of guidance, wisdom, knowledge, faith, and moral values. It provides students with an opportunity to learn the teachings of Islam and apply those values in their daily lives. By supporting madrasahs with copies of the Holy Quran, SWA seeks to create a stronger learning environment where students can develop their religious knowledge alongside good character, discipline, compassion, and social responsibility. The project also encourages students to share the values they learn with their families and communities. The Light of the Quran Project is ultimately an investment in the spiritual and moral development of the next generation. Through the generosity of UAE donors and well-wishers, SWA is helping make Quranic education more accessible and empowering young learners to carry the light of knowledge, faith, and good character into their communities. Every Quran is a gift of knowledge. Every student is a future bearer of its light.
